Western Washington Center for the Arts (WWCA)

Celebrating a tenth season of “Little Playhouse on the Waterfront,” our local theater company’s current home is a renovated 1918-historic building on the Port Orchard waterfront, featuring a 79-seat venue for experiencing the drama of live theater. We joyfully present, foster and promote local arts, especially theater arts.

Offering Musical Theater Workshops for youngsters during Summer Break (see website), the Artistic Director also teaches classes throughout the year in Basic Acting & Singing for youth, and classes in Musical Theater for young actors. Summer 2016 includes Acting Camp for kids — focusing on Basic Acting Techniques, Improvisation and performance of comedic scenes.

The current season has included productions of: “Something’s Afoot,” “A Year With Frog & Toad,” the hilarious “You Can’t Take it With You,” and “Romeo & Juliet,” with upcoming productions of “A Little Night Music” (through May 29th), and “Caught in the Net” (sequel to “Run for Your Wife”).
